Day 26: What is your biggest dream in life, career, love, etc? And what steps are you taking or do you need to take to bring it to fruition?

My biggest dream for my career is to reach the top of the ladder for my chosen career which is a Peoplesoft Consultant. At this point of my life, I want to grow my technical and social skills to be able to deal more with clients and my colleagues. I want to lead and deploy a project successfully. Right now, even though I just recently got back to my previous employer, I was given a project to lead. As early as now, I’m studying the requirements needed by the client and I am trying to execute the tasks early on to avoid cramming which leads to poor quality. I’ll be taking on online courses related to my career as well so that I’ll be more productive and effective consultant.

Be the kind of leader that you would follow

The biggest dream I have for my life and love is entangled with each other. The biggest dream in loveΒ in my life right now is to meet the one and be with him so that we can start our road to forever. And my biggest dream in life is to have a family of my own that’s why the dreams I have in life and love is really entangled. Because I know my dream will come into fruition once I met the one. πŸ™‚

Right now, I’m just enjoying my life while I’m still single so that when the time comes that I’ll be called to be a wife and a mom, I’ll be able to fulfill my duty wholeheartedly.

Ultimate goal in life πŸ™‚

Day 25: Describe a moment when you β€œpaid it forward.” What happened and how did it feel?

Everytime I received something that is more than I expected, I make it a point to pay it forward because it feels good to share your blessings. Mostly I share my blessings with my family and friends, and at times to strangers or to the community. Its a fulfilling moment and feeling to give to others what you receive from God.

Day 24: If you could relieve ONE day of your life, what would it be? And would you change anything?

I’ll always go back to the day or point of me and my ex’s life where we drifted apart, where things started to shatter which led us to where we are now. I should have fought for him and fix things, maybe things could have been different, maybe we fixed what was broken and maybe we are still together – married and already starting our own family. But I guess, even if I fought hard and make things better, if its his destiny to cheat on me, he would still do. It could have been harder for me and maybe for our families. Its better this way. It was always this way.

Day 23: Talk about a moment when you got annoyed with a married friend, a person in a relationship, or a person with kids (Be honest! No judgment!)

Everytime someone asks me why I’m still single and why I’m not dating anyone, that really annoys me because its not that I don’t want it but I just don’t have a choice. Even I question myself on why I’m still single or why I don’t have my partner yet, but the answer is very obvious and simple – it’s not yet time.

Day 22: What would you say is the most challenging aspect of modern-day dating?

Probably the most challenging aspect of modern dating is that everybody is face down on their mobile phones. When they see that the girl or guy is not good looking based on their social networking photo, they won’t be interested to get to know the person anymore whereas before, you really have to struggle to talk personally to the person to get to know him/her. Technology has really take a toll even on dating today.

I read an article regarding waiting early this morning. It was a fun read because it taught me that in waiting we can learn a lot of things like humility, patience, joy of endurance and perseverance. Yes, its true I’ve learned all those things while waiting and still learning. Patience is really the hardest one because I am a very impatient person. Maybe because I was a spoiled brat that I always get what I want but ever since that incident happened to me, I learned that not all things can be ours. I get stubborn at times on wanting something or someone but at the end of the day if I feel like its really not for me, I raise the white flag immediately. In that article, I also thought the feeling I will have if that thing or person I’m waiting will finally be mine. Will I be thankful? Will I be in awe? Is it something that I expected for? I hope in time when that person I am waiting for come into my life, all my questions before and now will be answered and my life will change for the good.

Day 21: How have you changed the most for the past 10 years?

10 years ago, I was 18 then. I’m a 2nd year college student, in love and very studious. I’m totally a different me now, I’m more matured and giving. Before I was a brat, very spoiled and always right even though I’m at the wrong side. But I guess what happened to me changed a lot in me. I learn to let go easily the things or persons that are not for me. I also know how to say sorry whenever I’m wrong and admit it. I’m more independent now, trying new things on my own. I’m more appreciative of things and people that are with me now. And lastly, my bond with my friends, family and God got much more closer because I know they are always there for me forever.

Day 20: Describe your most difficult breakup and what you learned from it

My most difficult breakup was a 7 years old relationship. We broke up because he had somebody else. Though they are not together anymore, and we tried to work it out again, his feelings for me aren’t the same anymore. Hurts right?

These are the things that I’ve learned from our break-up:

  1. Karma is everywhere. What you do to others, good or bad, will return to you ten times fold. So we should all be careful of the things we do for others.
  2. It’s not how long you are in the relationship together to really tell how well you know the person. Time changes everyone
  3. Love is always a choice. No matter how hard times will be, if you truly love a person, you will choose him over and over again because that is true love.
  4. Staying with someone is not just about being in love but being responsible and God-fearing also. If you are one of which, even though you feel less for the person, you’ll always find a way to work things out and try so that the relationship can work.
  5. It takes two to tango. Sometimes no matter how much one of you tries to work things out, if the other one is not into the dance anymore, no matter how difficult it is, you have to let go. But for me this is a different thing for married couples especially if there are children involved.
  6. Sometimes, being strong is the only option. This does not apply to heartbreak only but to all kinds of problems. Giving up is never an option.
  7. Yes its hard to move on from someone that gave you so much, but he/she is only just one person. Look around, a lot of people loves you and will always be there for you no matter what.
  8. Be open to new things and new people. It helps a lot and who knows, one of those new people is the one.
  9. Love yourself. For the meantime that you haven’t met your new partner again, focus on yourself. Explore new things. Get fit. Get busy!
  10. God is your bestfriend. This is the ultimate lesson I’ve learned so far. He will hear your prayers and tears anytime, anywhere. Wheneve you feel like it, pray and He will listen. It lifts up the spirit as well.

It was a hard journey but I know that at the end of the day, there’s nothing left to do but smile and move on!

Day 19: What is something about you that people would be surprised to learn?

Interesting topic. Since I’m a girl, most of the guys I met were surprised that I play a lot of console games. I love RPG and strategy games. There’s this one PS2 game that I played via emulator in PC and PSP. I even have a walkthrough of it because I’m really crazy for that game. It’s Suikoden 2, by the way.

Another thing is because of my sisters, I love kPOP especially Super Junior!! If they really go here in the Philippines again, I vow to myself that I will watch their concert! Also when I go to Korea, I will buy their CDs and posters! ^.^

My future hubby!
